About Elizabeth D. Mitchell

Beth Mitchell is an Associate in the law firm of AMBLER & KEENAN, LLC. She is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the State of Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the 10th Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.

Beth received her B.A. in English and Speech Communications from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She was awarded her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law, where she was an editor for the Preventive Law Reporter and an active member of the University of Denver Student Law Office’s Battered Women’s Clemency Project.

Beth devotes her practice to estate planning, Medicaid planning, elder law, probate, and trust administration, and she is a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. She also is a member of the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Bar Association, where she is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section and the Elder Law Section. She is a frequent speaker on educational topics involving estate planning and elder law.

In her spare time, Beth enjoys giving her time to the community as volunteer for Hospice of Metro Denver.  She is a member of the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce and Executive Committee member for the Women of Cherry Creek. She also sits on the board of directors of the Alliance of Professional Women and the Dominican Sisters Home Health Agency, an organization providing free in-home health care to the sick and poor in Denver

Prior to joining AMBLER & KEENAN, LLC, Beth’s diverse background included working for the Colorado Bar Association, with the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence as an AmeriCorps member and with South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson on Capitol Hill. She is a South Dakota native who loves to travel and has enjoyed living in Iowa, New York, Washington D.C., and Colorado.


About the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys

The Academy is a national organization dedicated to promoting excellence in estate planning by providing its exclusive membership of attorneys with up-to-date research on estate and tax planning, educational materials, and other important resources to empower them to provide superior estate planning services.
