Attorney Dera L. Johnsen-Tracy is a graduate of Marquette University Law School and focuses her legal practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, and guardianship. Prior to completing law school, Dera gained fourteen years of legal experience as a paralegal in Texas and Wisconsin, with the last nine years spent at Krueger & Hernandez. Dera's extensive experience provided a strong and practical client-centered foundation for her legal practice. She strives to meet the needs of her clients in a personal and efficient manner.

Dera is licensed to practice in Wisconsin, and is an active member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, a national organization of attorneys dedicated to estate planning. Krueger & Hernandez SC is the ONLY member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys in the state of Wisconsin. The Academy and their membership have been featured in Consumer Reports, Suze Orman in her book, 9 Steps to Financial Freedom, numerous times by Money Magazine and most recently Real Simple Magazine stated “How to find a good one: Hire a lawyer who belongs to the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (aaepa.com). She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Dane County Bar Association. In furtherance of her passion for helping families plan, Dera is an active participant in the Wisconsin Wills for Heroes program.
In addition to practicing as an Associate Attorney with Krueger & Hernandez, Dera is an Adjunct Professor at Globe University in Middleton.

About the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys
The Academy is a national organization dedicated to promoting excellence in estate planning by providing its exclusive membership of attorneys with up-to-date research on estate and tax planning, educational materials, and other important resources to empower them to provide superior estate planning services.
