About Gina Leguria Gina B. Leguria devotes her practice to estate planning, Medi-Cal planning, and elder law. Her primary focus is protecting families from the devastating legal effects of disability and death. Through proper planning, individuals and families can avoid unnecessary court proceedings, protect their assets, continue their legacies through strategic charitable giving, and provide for the security of their loved ones.
Mrs. Leguria’s diverse background includes working as a senior advisor to the Stanislaus County Sheriff where she was part of the California State Sheriff’s Association legislative team at the Capitol in Sacramento representing law enforcement.
Raised on a cattle ranch, Gina graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo where she majored in Agriculture Business Management. Gina earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and was awarded a Juris Doctorate from University of Pacific Mc George School of Law.
Gina learned firsthand the effects of failing to plan when her rancher father was killed in a vehicle accident without any planning documents in place, requiring her to probate her father’s extensive estate, including business and cattle operations. Through that experience she determined to help others avoid the added devastation of a complicated and expensive legal process. Gina combines a background in public service with a wide range of legal and personal experience to provide her clients with a uniquely practical perspective.
Northern California Estate Planning Counselors, LLP, has been awarded the top AV rating by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the legal profession's oldest and preeminent rating service for attorneys and law firms. The AV rating is the highest rating bestowed by Martindale-Hubbell and is earned by only a small number of law firms and attorneys considered to have "Very High to Preeminent.
Gina is a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, an exclusive member organization serving the needs of attorneys committed to providing their clients with the best in estate planning.
Outside the office, Gina enjoys activities with her husband and two young daughters. She is an active member of her church and devotes time to the Diabetic Youth Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
