About John Rogers Burk Interested in architecture in his youth, Roger studied architecture as an undergraduate. But his desire to work more closely with people and help them plan and solve problems led to the study of law. His ardent desire and deep commitment to the needs of each client lead to the design of unique and responsive estate plans. After starting his law practice in the San Francisco Bay Area where he grew up, Roger and his wife Linda moved their family to the Roseville area to provide a better environment for raising their children. Experience Roger has been helping people plan their estates for over 30 years. He is a member of the State Bar of California Real Property Law Section and Trusts and Estates Section, the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. Roger also has an expertise in time share resorts and has helped establish some of the most prestigious time share projects. He is a Registered Resort Professional (RRP) with the American Resort Development Association (ARDA). Roger is also a member of the Planned Giving Committee of the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation where he chairs the South Placer Professional Roundtable. He regularly writes articles and gives seminars and workshops on estate planning and time sharing. Education Roger graduated from two California universities, the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Architecture and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law with a Juris Doctor degree. Personal Roger and Linda are the parents of 6 children, three of whom were adopted in Mexico. He is an active member of the community as a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Granite Bay, as a Family Relations teacher with his wife Linda, and with Linda, is a member of Roseville Toastmasters. Roger loves to support his local High School football team and has completed 14 seasons filming the game films for Granite Bay High School Varsity Football. He also enjoyed serving on the Boards and as the Secretary for a local teens group, the Eureka Schools Foundation, and the Granite Bay High Boosters Association, which he helped establish. For many years he worked with youth as a Scoutmaster and a Youth Soccer Coach.
