About Regina Schauer
Regina Slaton Schauer, has been practicing law for 25 years and is licensed to practice in Texas and Oklahoma. In addition to doing estate planning, her background includes being a Judge for eight years, working in a district attorney’s office and running two international programs where children were brought from orphanages and placed into loving American homes.
She has been named as Judge of the Year by the Department of Human Services, given the distinction of “Outstanding Attorney of the Year” by Legal Aid, her agency was named by the United States Congress as an “Angel of Adoption” only one of the two in the state given this prestigious honor. Mrs. Schauer’s paperwork has been used as an example by Russian government officials on how to properly prepare legal paperwork. She has taught attorneys in continuing legal education seminars presented by the Bar Association. She has been honored to present seminars for NASA, the United States military and was flown by the American Red Cross to Germany to be a featured speaker to educate families. She was flown to Washington D.C. and consulted along with some other people, by the U.S. State Department on proposed changes to law that they were considering. She has also been brought in by Oklahoma legistators when they were considering changes to law.
Regina has been described as extremely attentive to detail in paperwork, and as someone that knows every single client and cares about them individually. Regina is someone that will care if your parents are becoming frail and need extra attention. She will remember if your child is sick and care if he or she has gotten better. She is very effective in a courtroom and very kind and caring in her manner. She tells people that she got into law to care for, and help people. She has done that consistently throughout her 25 year career.
Regina is married, has one son in college and two daughters in elementary school. She has been honored to be named as an elder in her church.
About the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys
