About Yvonne Novak
Yvonne Michaud Novak is a compassionate advocate for individuals, families and business owners seeking to protect themselves, their assets, and the people they love. Licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, Yvonne understands the significance of your particular legal problem and takes pride in providing realistic solutions tailored to the needs of her clients.
The Law Office of Yvonne Michaud Novak works with clients in the areas of estate planning, probate, business law and bankruptcy. This concentrated focus means that clients can feel confident knowing they are getting the most up-to-date legal information and using the most cutting-edge strategies to protect what matters most.
Prior to opening her law firm in 2007, she worked as an attorney, a paralegal, an investment representative, and a licensed nursing home administrator. This broad experience has aided Yvonne in understanding the situations that her clients are experiencing and provided a deep knowledge base to draw from. Practice as a traditional estate planner showed her the limitations of that practice and caused her to seek out a more holistic approach to estate planning which led her to the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.
Yvonne received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of St. Scholastica and her Law Degree (Juris Doctor) with Distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law. She is a member the Minnesota and Wisconsin State Bar Associations, the US District Court for the District of Minnesota and the Western District of Wisconsin, the Eleventh District Bar Association, the Bankruptcy Practice Committee, Minnesota Chair of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the Volunteer Attorney program.
A native of Wisconsin, Yvonne has been a Minnesota resident for the past 30 years. Yvonne is married to her wonderful husband, Glen, and lives with her two Russian Blue rescue cats, Jake and Ella. She and Glen curl in the winter and bicycle in the summer.
