About Pamela Jones
After a career in non-profit finance and administration, Pam embarked on a mid-career change from finance and administration to law to help other people avoid the confusion, helplessness, and unintended results that her family experienced following a sudden death.
In her practice Pam has 10 years of experience in estate planning and probate litigation. The litigation has provided her with a deep and practical knowledge of problems to avoid in establishing estate plans. Before she started her own firm, Pam also worked on tax and small business matters. During law school, Pam held an internship at the California Board of Equalization where she drafted responses to income tax appeals. Pam is a member of the California State Bar Association Trusts & Estates and Taxation sections, and is the Immediate Past President of the Sacramento County Bar Association Probate and Estate Planning Section. She is also a member of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council. Pam serves as a Board Member of Sacramento Lawyers for the Equality of Gays and Lesbians (“SacLEGAL”), and chairs its continuing education committee.
Pam graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with a concentration in Tax. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. Her undergraduate studies were conducted at California State University, Chico, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
Pam has a long history of raising funds for charitable organizations. In 2000 she founded the Soccer Against Leukemia & Lymphoma (the “SALLY Games”) women’s soccer tournament and continues to serve as the Treasurer. The SALLY Games has raised over $200,000.00 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society over the last 16 years.
