About David Mendelson
David L. Mendelson was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Christian Brothers High School (CBHS). As a young man, David became interested in the law by watching and learning from his father, who attended Memphis State University School of Law and has been practicing in Memphis, Tennessee since the early 1970’s.
After high school, David graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1991 and the University of Tulsa School of Law in 1994. David is admitted to practice in the states of Tennessee and Mississippi. David currently has the privilege of representing large corporations as well as small business owners and families.
David Mendelson’s background includes 27+ years of legal and managerial experience building with a record of excellent judgment and instincts, success in guiding firm growth, and a record of improving firm’s ability to represent clients. He also facilitates idea sharing and standards within the legal community through involvement in industry organizations.
David is involved in the following professional memberships: Commercial Law League of America, American Bankruptcy Institute, National Association of Chapter 13, Trustee, Memphis Bar Association, National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys and the Tennessee Bar Association.
David is also active in the community and has been involved with the following organizations: Memphis Jewish Federation, Memphis Jewish Community Center, RISE Foundation (Board 2007-2009), Board of Trustees Baron Hirsch (2011-2017 served on the executive council and 2012 as legal counsel to the Shul) and served as the President of the Baron Hirsch Congregation (2018 – 2020).
About the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys
