About Brett A. Carlile

Brett Carlile is a member of Frank & Kraft, one of the leading law firms in Indiana in the area of estate planning as well as business and tax planning.

Mr. Carlile is committed to working with clients to avoid probate, save taxes, and help them give what they have to whom they want the way they want. He concentrates in the areas of trust and estate administration, Medicaid planning, asset protection and family business continuation planning.


Mr. Carlile is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association; the Indiana State Bar Association, including the sections on Taxation and Estate Planning Law; the American Bar Association; the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis; and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is a frequent speaker at numerous taxation seminars for legal and financial professionals as well as the general public.


Mr. Carlile earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Indiana University in 2000. He was awarded a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Business Finance. While in law school, Mr. Carlile was managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal and received a number of honors, including being named a Forest Jump Scholar for academic excellence.


Brett and his wife, Peggy, live in Fishers, where he is a member of the Seize the Day Chapter of Business Networking International. He enjoys spending time with Peggy and their four children and can frequently be found coaching their various sports teams.

About the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys
